Proposal Review and Alignment

SCS brings an expert and independent eye to funding proposals and other strategic narratives. We will work with in-house staff to review drafts of proposals to ensure their alignment with your mission and funders’ priorities. In this scenario, your staff creates a draft of a proposal, either for a specific source/program or as “boilerplate” that can be customized. This leverages the efficiencies of in-house program development, grant writing, and executive staff, who are conversant with the mission and program design. SCS receives the draft and sharpens the proposal’s focus on the intersection of the organization’s mission and the funder’s priorities, and acts as an external reviewer who can pinpoint and clarify ambiguities or inconsistencies. We bring decades of experience in shaping and finalizing successful proposals and evaluating proposals for granting agencies.

Program Development

SCS works with the executive, program, and development team to conceive and detail program design, drawing on decades of experience in creating award-winning, community-focused programs. Our services are flexible based on your needs so SCS can contribute “just in time” expertise at critical milestones of program development. In this scenario, you come to SCS with a project outline, at whatever level of detail, and we work with your staff to shape a narrative that conveys the essence of the project to stakeholders.
[Cost range from $5,000-20,000]

Research and Proposal Writing

We have led the conception and funding for many new projects, large and small. We can effectively bring your projects from conception through full proposal. In this scenario, you come to SCS with a project idea, and we can suggest strategies that will make the project more attractive to funders. We can then work with your staff to develop the proposal. We prefer working with projects that are already well-developed and consistent with your mission.
[Costs range from $10,000-30,000]
